Release of Law Books under revised Syllabi for Five/ Three Year Law Degree Course on 15th July, 2010 at Hyderabad.

Hon’ble Union Minister  Shri Salman Khurshid, has released  Law Books written by Dr T Padma and  Sri KPC Rao and brought out by ALT Publications for Five year Law Degree course (under revised syllabi 2009-10) at a  mega function organized at  KLN Prasad Auditorium, FAPCCI, Hyderabad on 15th July, 2010, as a part of the year long programme of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to mainstream investor awareness, in partnership with SEBI, RBI, ICAI, ICSI, ICWAI, CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, UTI-MF, BSE, NSE, MCS-SX, IMC,IAIA, PHD Chamber of Commerce etc.

The authors 

Dr. Mrs. T Padma started off on an upward climb of both academic and legal ladder. Graduated in Arts in the year 1987 from S.V. University did her Masters in Arts from Nagarjuna University in the year 1990.  The turning point comes in when she decides to move on to the legal profession as she did her B.L. from Nagarjuna University in the year 1992 and thereon Masters in Law (Crime and Torts) from Osmania University in the year 2002. Thereon, gunning towards Post graduate diploma in Cyber Laws and Legal Information Systems from the Central University of Hyderabad. She later obtained P.G. Diploma in Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University. (NALSAR University).

As on date, Dr. Padma has won her Doctorate in Law with her thesis on “The Critical Study on Anti-terrorism Laws of India” from Acharya Nagarjuna University. Undaunted by social commitment as a working woman and a legal professional, she has further launched herself on Post Doctoral Research Programme on “Criminalisation of Politics – A Study with reference to Electoral Reforms” from A.P University of Law.   

The career graph starts from the Membership of a Bar Council in 1993. She has to her credit within a span of 18 years as an Advocate, Asst. Public Prosecutor and District & Sessions Judge.

Going down a little deeper the following are few miles stones:

v  Handled number of cases in civil and criminal courts in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy District and at the Hon’ble High Court of A.P. for over 5 years.

v  As an Asst. Public Prosecutor, Prosecution Department, Government of A.P. handled more than 1000 criminal cases for over 5 years.

v  As a District and Sessions Judge disposed more than 1250 cases of different types within a very short span.

Mr. K P C Rao,  A Fellow Member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and The Institute of Cost Works and Accountants of India (ICWAI) started off his career graph of professional growth from an agricultural family background.

The career achievements of Mr. K.P.C. Rao take a chequered path of professional achievement for over a period of three decades. Way-back in 1977, he graduated in Science (I class) from Andhra University and obtained his LLB (I Class) in the year 1982 from the University College of Law, Osmania University. Joining the bandwagon of corporate management  in the Public Sector at the Senior Managerial level and then moved on to the private sector and today, is an established   professional as a faculty member of various professional bodies.  Travelled widely all over the World and connected, Mr. Rao is on many Boards of corporate bodies.

He is read exhaustively through his articles and contributions to various legal Corporate Law Journals and National publications of Corporate academics.

Presently, he is a Practising Company Secretary at Hyderabad advising his corporate clientele on corporate restructuring, tax matters, corporate finance besides undertaking regular corporate secretarial practice.

The publishers ALT Publications who are known for publication of leading Law Journals like Supreme Court Journal, Andhra Law Times, Andhra Weekly Reporter, ALT Revenue and Legislative Supplements and ALT (Criminal), with its presence in the legal world for over a period of five decades, have published all 55 books prescribed under the revised syllabi.
